Mis-use of Members Chat Function

Yesterday afternoon at about 2pm (Cape Verde Time) we became aware of a misuse of our Members 'Chat' functionality.
From its inception, Sua Casa - in seeking to be as open as possible - enabled website Members to message each other. This service was misused over the weekend by one Member named 'Gareth' who sought to message Members and asking people to get in touch with a Dr. Hughes by e-mail. Dr. Hughes is not a fractional owner of TRG assets and appears to be offering his services as a psychic healer in South Wales. It is possible that Mr. Hughes was trying to use our site to drum up business for his psychic healing services.
We have removed the functionality from the website that allowed this to happen, and we have also removed the access of Gareth as a Member to the website as this represents a breach of our published privacy policies.
If you received an e-mail titled 'a message from Gareth' which appeared to come from Sua Casa and recommended contacting Dr. Hughes, please ignore or delete the message.
To reassure you, neither Gareth nor Dr. Hughes had access to any details about you except the user name you use when you access the Sua Casa site. They used the message function on our site which generated the e-mail to you. At no time did "Gareth" have your e-mail address or any other details.
Some Members use theiur full names as the Member profile. If you would prefer other Members not to be able to see this, then you can edit your profile at any time by logging onto the Sua Casa site and updating your details.
No data breach has occurred, but we have temporarily suspended the Chat functionality while we review options.
Our sincere apologies for any incovenience or concern caused.
Basically I want my money back from you scammers, when will you pay it back...Top lawyers are now onto you so the game is up..Time to pay up what is not yours.
This Cape Verde project is just one big scam rip off and theft of people's money. There has been zero communication for years until now. Me and probably thousands more are sick of it and want our money back from these crooks. What is your answer now please,...
I know Clyde, he's a legitimate owner of a property on Tortuga. He is certainly NOT a scammer and is in the process of taking TRG to court with a number of other owners - probably why TRG are trying to discredit him by saying he was promoting his own business. By the way the members chat was freely available for members to message each other privately - a system created by Sua Casa but now removed, unsurprisingly. There was no hacking involved and only the members users name were viewable. I'm sure you'll all know not to believe everything you read on here and my advice is to join an independent group run by actual owners in the same…

🚨 Important – Please Read 🚨
I strongly urge every Member here to contact Sua Casa directly and demand clear answers about how our names and usernames were made accessible to someone promoting a psychic healer in South Wales — and why we were automatically added to a chat system without giving consent.
This situation raises serious questions about GDPR compliance, member privacy, and basic data protection standards. We were never asked for permission to be part of this messaging system — yet someone with no connection to the community was able to use it to target us.
This is an unacceptable breach of trust, and Sua Casa has a responsibility to explain how this happened, what data was exposed,…
